the emperor's new clothes - english poem [Sunday | 03:44pm] The King’s New Clothes Once upon a time there was a King Who was very fond of himself He loved only the finest clothes Silk robes and diamond belts Some swindlers from far away Decided to play a trick They picked up and went to the castle To make clothes the kind would want to fit. They made the people believe they were weavers With fabric only the rich could have bought Because only the worthy Could see this invisible cloth The King heard of these people And since he considered himself the best He paid them lots of money To make him exceptionally dressed They set up two looms and pretended to be hard at work But they never did anything at all They measured the King and were very convincing They took his sizes wide and tall. After many days of waiting the wardrobe still wasn’t ready And the King was eager to wear his new clothes They wouldn’t let him see so they sent a minister in To view what the “weavers” had to show. “Oh dear,” he thought as he walked near, On the looms he saw nothing at all. “I’ll pretend they were there, that the looms were not bare.” He thought as he walked down the hall. The Emperor was as excited as a dog with a bone As the minister approached with the news Though he could not see the fabric He made up a description of the gold’s, red’s, and blue’s. But after many days of waiting the wardrobe still wasn’t ready And the King was eager to wear his new clothes They wouldn’t let him see so they sent a courtier in To see what the “weavers” had to show. “Oh my,” he thought as he walked closer by. The looms were as bare as can be “I don’t see a thing, what will I say to the King?” He made up a story of what he had seen There was a parade in the kingdom approaching And the “clothes” were finally done The King could wear them to this outing This was when the weavers got their fun. The King approached the weaving room Ready to wear what they weavers had composed He stepped inside excitedly And the doors behind him closed “Oh no,” he thought as the weavers showed The invisible pants and shirt “If I can’t see a thing I must not be fit for a king!” He walked back to his room feeling hurt. “If everyone else can see the clothes then I’ll pretend that I can too. I’ll pretend they‘re there and stand tall.” The weavers helped him get dressed and look his best He boarded the float in his under-all’s The King followed through pretending he could see the clothes And he stepped out into the crowd Nervous at first because of the feeling of hurt But then he realized the people were quite loud. None of the townspeople wanted to seem unworthy So they pretended the “clothes” were great Though no one could see anything they applauded Until a small boy did state… “But that man is wearing nothing, don’t you see? [Monday | 08:39pm] hello. today went by fast. good thing. i had spanish ( a test ) i think i did okay on it, then i had math and we didnt really do anything, then i had ceramics and that was fun, we have to make figures and im either going to make the Pillsbury Doughboy or the McDonalds mascot person thats shaggy and purple. lol so then i had bio, we did a lab and took notes and thats about it then alyssa brianna and i went to Paine an met a gagillion people and it was fun. ive been making so many new friends this week :-D that makes me happy. this out-going thing is really working for me :o) um, yeah so my sister said that she would buy me a book and so we go to the bookstore and she gets 2 books for herself and WHAT DO YA KNOW she has no money lef tto get me one. i was so sad. i need something to read. i guess this means im going to have to re-read something. thats a bummer. im going to go find something now. <3 1oo &#%*!

[Saturday | 01:39pm] hey hey i went to chris' birthday party last night, it was so much fun!!! ive never seen so many gorgeous guys in the same place haha. anyways, it was a surprise party so jamie emily and nicole left there early to check peoples names off the guest list and then nicole ( chris' sister ) didnt get there until after chris got his SURPRISE!! because she had another surprise...AJ! lol so it was a surprise all around. they did karoke and there was a dj and cake and it was so much fun. i danced with this kid, yeah, i danced with him....::dreamy sigh:: haha it wasd just a really fun night then we went back to nicoles and had our little girly talk because we havent seen eachother in so long and then chris and aj got home and then their friend brittany came over and it was one big slumber party lol so then in the morning we looked at the pictures and the videos that everyone took and they were all awesome...nicole, you need to send me some :o) i reaized how scary its going to be to graduate while i was there.... chris turned 18, hes an adult now!!! thats not that far away !!! our mommys and daddys arent gonna be able to help us al the time!!! then were gonna have to leave high school, and possibly the state, and make ALL new friends. we may never see some of the people we're friends with right now ever again!!! its so scary. im going to hang out with my friends a lot more from now on. <3<3<3 4oo &#%*!

POEM FOR ENGLISH [Thursday | 08:56pm] I Hear Coventry High School Singing I hear CHS singing its crazy, out-of-tune song. The girls walk by the boys with their own unique words, And the boys are more than willing to sing right back. Teachers sing their songs to students, hoping they’ll catch on. Coaches sing the words of a game while the players dance along. The brainiest make up songs to remember names and dates. The slackers don’t sing at all. Automotive kids listen to the song of a car they brought to life, While the computer lovers click and type with the humming of a machine. The teacher’s pet mimics the lesson of the day to receive their "A" Rocker kids bang their heads to their hard-core bands. Everyone has a good time while singing the same songs at dances. After school, the janitors sing while cleaning up what comes to be our second home. Freshman don’t know what song to sing. The seniors finish the chorus. [Thursday | 07:27pm] [ music | dont phunk with my heart ] today was a good day. i had math and spanish and bio and ceramics. i think im pretty much over dave. yes, i like him, but i realize that i just dont do it for him and theres nothing i can do about it. uh jon doesnt like me lol....actually, not "lol" but lol at the same time. justin does like me :o) and i went to jareds after school (i love all the "J" names) jareds was really cool, we just hung out there for a little bit then we went to the point thing and then we went to this dock and it was really sunny and so warm and nice out. we kept flicking water around and it was fun. then we just both layed down (still on the dock) and talked and i was ready to fall asleep because it was so nice out. then he looked at his phone and as it turns out Kevin had been there waiting for about a half an hour and no one could get in touch with us. so then we went back and i left. then i made CAKE!!! Angel food cake is god. its so good. thats the kind that i made. i got to have my cake and eat it too. im just that cool. and then i went to go use up the rest of my roll of film for photography so my mom ryan lauren and i went for a walk to Sisson pond. i took pictures of the little waterfall and then the horses and stuff on the way there. i had a nice day. i hope u did too :o) <3<3<3 2oo &#%*!

ITS VACATION!!!! i love life. the dance was SOOOO fun! if you didnt go then you toally missed out on a super great time! we were a little off on time because we were wicke close to jareds house and i realized that i forgot his flower thing so we had to go back then we went to alyssas and too a million and half pictures. then we went to the dance and it was so fun and jared said that i looked good like 15453123 times and that made me happy. and we danced and had fun. and then we went to greggs and cassie and i split mozzaralla sticks and chocolate cake and then jareds dad picked up me and him and brought me home yesterday was laurens birthday and her friends came and picked her up in a limo and we went to the beach and to get icecream and to the movies. jared met me there so i didnt have to hang out with lauren and her friends the whole time. we saw Beauty Shop. it was really cute. then jared went to my house for a little bit and we had cake and stuff for lauren. after we brought jared home we watched the grudge and then lauren and her friends fell asleep except for emily and i and so we watched The Notebook and i hadent seen it before and it was SOOO cute but SOOO sad. yes, i cried. lol yeah so this weekend was lots of fun!!! i would also like to say that i got a 96 on my research paper for english :o) i would also like to say that i have nails!!!! lol <3 6oo &#%*!

( HI KAELA!! ) besides everything that happened, ( if u werent there, dont ask ) i had fun. im sorry for kinda blowing everything up, i know i didnt know everything that was said. it was just how i reacted at the time. dave, i really hope you feel better. I <3 Dave I would also like to say thank you to dan for approving of me lol, and telling me im decent at doing my make up, and showing me that cool eyeliner/mascara thing...its awesome :-D i made my confirmation the next day at 5 and then went to chelos afterward. I got the best steak sandwich ever because they have the best ones there. i also got this Italian gold necklace thing that i wore today and i guess its kinda like a family heirloom because all the girls have one, just not the same one. its pretty. my grandma got me this gold ring a long time ago and since i dont have tnything gold but that i never wore it but now i can wear the necklace with it. i was in the darkroom two periods today. amanda came with me the second period. i got a buncha pictures developed the first period and only got 2 done the second period because im still trying to figure out how to get the timing right since i used colored film. i had to make dinner for ryan and kevin today because my mom had a confrence and that left it up to me to make food. we had tacos because tacos are god. i think thats about it, im going to go pop some ibuprophen (sp?) and midol lol as i said before.... [Tuesday | 02:48pm] hey guess what?! im shooting for an A in history and at the moment i have an 88! thats only 2 points away!!! we had a test today and if i did well on that then maybe ill get my A and be able to keep it till report cards. thatd make me happy i cant wait until ceramics tomorrow because we're making dragons and even though mine has legs like a dog and tail like a lizard ( the body is okay), i love it. Last class i finally got the neck and head to stay by itsself lol then i started making spikes for the tail. it makes me happy. anyways, tickets went on sale for sophmore and even though i protested, jared said that hes going to buy them. i said that if we go out after ill pay for whatever we decide to do. hes a pretty cool kid.... i cant wait until saturday because my friend and I ( i am not mentioning names because i dont want someone to read it and accuse her of anything....i <3 u chica )and this other kid who can drive are going to PPM ( I believe ) and we are going to have a wild and crazy time!!! hell yes i did my creative writing story last night and it was about " A day in the life of a dollar " and i had fun writing it. i got to make up all these crazy adventures and eventually i ended up in the hands of a janitor. lol. dont ask. yesterday wade brought me home from school with jimmy and i dont think im going to do that again, due to the fact that they talked about their wild n crazy times with alyssa, jackie, etc. the whole time and i sat in the back. today in photography we had to do sillowetes ( SP? ) and me and this girl amanda did one of a guitar and we were playing with them and she taught me how to play that song "smoke on the water" or something to that effect. so anyways .... lauren wants to go on, so im going to end it here.... [Friday | 07:40pm] [ music | THE POTION ] hello im in a better mood now ( see last entry ) lol. last night i talked to dave until around 1:30 in the morning and then i started to fall asleep so i told him i had to go lol at the moment i am burning my ludacris cd for amanda and i tried burning the game CD for me but it only copied 10 of the songs to the CD. so im going to have to go back and try it again because i really like that CD. i better not mess up amandas because i only brought 2 blank CD's with me to my dads. i had to go to church yesterday and it was an hour and 15 minutes and i had to go today too and it was an hour and 15 minutes and i have to go on easter and i went through the pages to see how long it is and its THIRTY ONE pages. yes, thirty one. 31, trienta y uno. 30+1. like i dont have anything better to do right? yeah so i watched the re-run of americas next top model and they let the girl who looks like a fish stay. i mean, HELLO! she looks like a fish!!! lol    thats okay...the other girl had an attitude. ok some the songs are almost done so im going to finish that up <3 3oo &#%*!
